Next Visit to RSA

Anyone thinking of booking a safari won't go far wrong speaking to Schwarzwild, i have been with him a number of times and had a great time. The outfit he represents is top of the tree for value for money and excelent accomadation. While hunting with them i have taken eland, kudu x3, impala, gemsbok, warthog, common reedbuck, baboon and bushbuck to name a few. Schwarzwild is good to deal with, you will get what it says on the tin +.
Thanks David, speak soon.

Thanks for the kind words Rem. We aim to please! I like your photos Adamant. Where did you hunt in RSA.

I too have had a hankering to go to Namibia. Through work, I have travelled in many African countries but work never took me to Namibia. When I have looked at Namibia for hunting purposes, it has always been more expensive than in RSA so I haven't been.

Schwarzwild - I hunted in both the Free State and Limpopo provinces with Dennie Taljaardt and Henke Coetzee. We did some culling and wing shooting at a farm near Kroonstaadt the first week, then some plains game hunting at a place called Moreson as part of the Challenge Hunt. The bush-veldt hunting was all in Limpopo on a vast tract of ground owned by the DuPlessie family (of RSA Nissan Motors fame).

I used - and can heartlily recommend - Kiri at Athina Hunting Tours. Kiri's a top bloke, who hunted and shot with us for two weeks, sorted problems without fuss and (being a fire and food-obsessed Greek Cypriot) pretty much aced the Afrikaaners at the whole braai / barbeque thing...

I've hunted Limpopo too Adam. It was called the Northern Territory then I think. I hunted there on a private farm, near to the town of Nylstroom. I saw the biggest python there I have ever seen. Stumbled (almost litterally) over it whilst stalking a warthog. The local tracker almost s**t himself!! I will see if I cant find the photo I took of it. Thanks for the recommendation. I will keep Athina in mind.

Found the python picture (Scanned Photograph). We estimate 4 metres of snake out of the hole and reckoned there could have been three more in the hole!

I went out to the Eastern Cape in 2008....loved it. Various factors have impeded going back, but reading all this is whetting my appetite....... Stop it! No, don't.

Wonder how I'll be fixed for an african trip in 2011.....:???::-D

ATB,

Merlin

ps- I managed to take Red Hartebeest, Blesbok, Springbok, Impala & Mountain Reedbuck. Having all 5 shoulder-mounted.
