Night Shooting Notifications (Police) - changed

Well it gets my vote, one or two of my permissions are peri- urban which I’ve shot for ten years +. My how times change l have encountered a few dog walkers since end of Covid who now think they own the place.
( telling me when l should be there etc)
Despite being told by land owner,
They can chase their self.

Police Scotland have dropped the need for 101 or email notifications
“Incident” numbers no longer generated
The way I read the email you still need to email them. What has changed is that there is now a dedicated email address rather than the general "contact us" one.
No need to inform them when you are finished is a positive

Never understood why anyone would
Shooting in a commercial forestry right next to the town that is a popular circular walk I always inform the police.
I once met a guy who quickly disappeared into the side while pulling his phone out.
A few minutes later I got a call from the police asking me to confirm my position and how I was dressed.
If they hadn't been able to confirm it was me then I expect a full arm response would have been launched

Or maybe the polis would have informed the phone eejit that people with rifles in forestry is perfectly normal.
