Hi all.
Am I legally allowed to use night vision on mybair rifle to shoot feral pigeon.
Or do I have to use a lamp.
If I remember rightly we can't use artificial light to shoot wood pigeon or birds but think feral pigeons are different
Cheers Pete
It is certainly against the law to shoot birds under artificial light and I just checked the gov.uk web site and it also states that you cannot use a sighting device or a device to light up targets at night either which leaves me slightly
Puzzled as I fought we was aloud to shoot ferals with night vision-there must be a loophole as Im sure I’ve seen an article on it in a magazine. Interesting!
Always worth checking the general licences, as they get renewed annually, the human health specifically mentions night vision as a permitted method for feral pigeons only.
Yes thank you. Will print off and highlight the relevant sections. Always useful to have when putting cages on chimneys and spikes on roofs to prevent gulls. Wouldn't be the first time I'd had the police called on me.
