Nikon not making scope sights.

Well if it says it on the internet it must be true.
Who cares, hardly a leading major brand even if it's because of shooting. So many scopes are just re-badged far eastern offerings anyway, there are plenty of scope only brands to keep us entertained. The day Swarovski quit will be a major issue. I dont use or like them them but they are cutting edge tec in terms of investment into electronics to make scopes even more appealing to certain markets and bear in mind they cant even sell to all of them. They are twitchers paradise brand too with royal warrants.

They almost pulled the plug a couple years ago, they’re losing money on that side of the business,,that only goes on for x amount of time before the accountants get involved. They tried to save the scope business with the outsourced series they flogged to the US, thinking the yanks would buy the zeiss brand despite it being made in China...wrong! The yanks f’ing hate China..wtf were they thinking!
That’s why Leupold is also in the shjite, they’re losing the ‘made in America’ badge quickly as their lines are moving to the Far East

Nikon has been funky about their firearms related optics for years. If a retail establishment sells Nikon cameras then Nikon will not allow them to sell riflescopes. Something like that anyway. I don’t use Nikon scopes because my eyes don’t get along with their glass, IMO it’s bad they are getting out of the scope business. When there are fewer options and less competition, the customer suffers. I do firmly believe Nikon is getting out of the scope business.
