Can I ask what rifle its on ? is it a new gun ?

If all else fails get some of these.
If I can get a photon bore sighted (lockdown put paid to zeroing) on my rifle. Which was previously well off to one side and out of elevation. Then they will solve your problem. You can move the reticule in any direction depending on how you fit the different inserts as per the instructions

Swap 1 of your mounts through 180 and so on..I had a friend over from SA last Nov, only had left a day spare before a trip for swapping the Drone to my Kahles back on the .243 as he was using my .270. Got in a right pickle which is not easy to sort with 2 blokes trying to fix it...
Went through the process with a back to front swap which brought the x hairs in the centre of my 35 yard bore sight target. (bit of white tape on the fence)

Sort of makes sense so going to try that as i was going to remove and refit the scope first. Cheers

I've been here with my Z4i. Count the clicks and wind it back to the middle of the range for both azimuth and elevation, then swap or reset the mounts as others recommend, above. I did this after running out of elevation, bore sighted it again at 50m, walked forward, took a shot off sticks to make sure I was on the paper - came to about 3 " from POA,. walked back to 50m, 2" out, back to 110m 1" high 2" wide, 8 clicks and 1" high,. bob on for 6.5x55

What sense does it no make? all things have a tolerance, some more than others loose fit sliding fit, interference fit etc

When things happen with this type of problem people will rush to sort it out...
I use sports match rings which like many are made in volume, swapping scopes is not an every day thing, my Z6 has been on the .270 for 2+ years and the drone around the same, last nov was the last drone/scope swap know since making a new drone mount that will need a zero with it all ready been bore sighted. I had to go back to the drone 4mm bolts as the QD ones we not allowing an even pressure to be made thus the bore sight was way off.

Don't rush just do every thing the same.

When applying your mounts makes sense to use a torque wrench if you have one so they’re consistently torqued on

Had this on a z5, was told by Swarovski to wind it from one extreme then to the other counting the clicks, then click to the mid way position as suggested above.

Two things to check first make sure your scope rings are not back to front , for instance front screws on from the left and the rear screws from the right IF they are attaching to a rail, with some mount makes that is a common problem
