I looked at the Nocpix and considered the pre-order, then thought buy an Alpex with the current discount as all the gremlins have been sorted since its release. Then when the Nocpix gets released, see how it evolves with updates over the next year and if it is an improvement, if still tempted swap it out at a later stage when it's time to change....
 
For those of you who are interested - the new Nocpix Nite D70R will as it stands at this moment in time, be available at some point in the 1st 1/4 of 2026. So that could be January 1st of even March 31st. That is what they predict. I plan to wait.

All the nocpix dealers have been dangling that carrot for weeks and weeks.
I wish you all the best with yours but unless they have made some major improvements to the effort they promised us weeks ago i will keep my money in my pocket.
 


Just spotted this on Youtube, hopefully getting closer to being released as i want one for one of my stalking rifles. Two things noticed, the cross hairs don't re-centre (albeit this is on an air rifle mounted high so understandable) and the eye relief looks to be really short?
 
Looks like something may be happening soon @opticsworld have them showing as a 15-20 day delivery which is new.

Probably. There'll likely be fierce competition this year - the new Zulus 4k tube is on the market, and its a cracking scope. Got to have a good look through it yesterday. The image quality in day, low light and night time with an IR are really good.

It's good isn't it. Not some kind of nirvana but just a really good all round unit that does not appear to have any obvious weak points from what I can tell. Maybe very short range focus fussy for airgun users but that is not what I use it for, so doesn't affect me.

Yesterday I was using it in anger. I have a really high hill on our land where you can shoot steeply downwards in to trees and tops of hedgelines. Visibility is good and there is no danger whatsoever with huge backstops behind with the the target areas effectively being at the bottom of a valley.

I was shooting squirrels out of a leafless oak in dull winter conditions at 9am. There was plenty of moisture in the air (rubbish thermal conditions) but I could still make out, acquire the target and successfully shoot squirrels at 280yds using the ballistic calculator. It is so quick and easy. Yes my top end scopes can do it with ease and picture quality is obviously much better but you have to range separately with an RF, then figure out drop and dial it in. At which point the target has moved to a potentially different range or maybe vanished altogether.

It just seems to tick all boxes. I showed the footage to a mate and he has immediately looked in to ordering one. It won't change my out and out deer rifle but it has provided a new lease of life for an inbetween rifle that can now be used for so many applications. I was waiting under the cattle feeder in the pouring rain last night to see if any deer were stupid enough to come out of the gorse at sunset and beyond (they weren't) but 50 mins after sunset, I shot a rabbit at 140yds in black and white without IR.

It is hard to find a fault with it so far. Maybe it would be good if you could automatically linke ballistic profiles to each zero setting and then make it easier to access them without going in to the main menu but I am being picky really. It is not exactly difficult to navigate to but for me, I will be swapping a lot between two different loads, so it would be nice if this could be done with one button press.

Thanks for your honest feedback, all sounds very good, I was just hanging on to see whether NocPix launched their new one at the BSS this week before jumping in but great to know if they don’t, or do & it’s not so good that the DNT 4K is already available. Many thanks.

The Nocpix D70R has a higher spec sensor, 18650 replaceable battery and internal range finder - well worth the wait.
