Available: Non - Lead Expanding Ammunition now Allowed at Bisley

Read the fine print, that's a 100 yard card.....

I imagine there is going to be a rush on for either getting RCO quals or the search for a tame one on most weekends at Siberia.
I did and understand. The NRA have produced a zero range card for the .243W and .308W.

I emailed the range office this morning and look what they kindly sent me...

I should think that will be close enough for most common stalking chamberings but if anyone has any concerns I would suggest range.office@nra.org.uk would be the place to start.

@scrumbag Thanks for all the zeroing targets.
Having printed it out and checked, the 100 metre target is a 5" diameter circle; "strangely", this is the same as the short range HME target!

@Donkey Basher I have now read the very comprehensive test report: they fired over 500 rounds of ammo, half of it non-lead. Non-NRA/NSC participants were from QinetiQ Ordnance Technologies (also in the GB Target Rifle and Match Rifle Teams) and the DDM Principal Deer Manager, so in my view they have included both sides of shooting.
And the test results in terms of accuracy and consistency of the non-lead ammo that they used (Fox Classic Hunter) are very reassuring to me.

Most interesting, though, is the preamble to the test report, which makes it very clear that NRA/NSC is concerned by a Government-driven ban on lead ammunition due to UK REACH. If that is the case, then stalkers get off really lightly compared to target shooters - at least we have a Plan B for our stalking ammo.
