Norma Odin

Looks to get great accuracy in the reports I have read. One of the journalists hinted that it isn't a in house bullet but bought in. The picture of the pulled bullet that I saw resembled a Sako blade with moly coating and a black polymer tip. Same bullet weights in 30 cal as well, 150 and 162 grains.

Hi

Interesting indeed - when molycoated boolits came out many, many moons ago, if they worked they mooted much, BUT, removing the molycoat if no evidence found of significant 'improvement', well a real issue removing the molycoat from barrel (according to an RFD who had tried them (cough, at my suggestion) at the time)...............

Norma has used molycoating on some bullets for about 25 years. Lower pressure or higher velocity less barrel wear. Some barrels may get problems with mix of coated and uncoated ammo.

Interesting regarding potential external manufacture and subsequent coating. Think it is in circulation in Scandinavia now so hopefully more answers to come soon. I have to say, molycoating would be a turn-off in spite of forgiving velocity window for expansion.
