Now that’s what I call a prison …

Hmmm.
In what until recently was seen by many as a crime-ridden banana republic they build huge modern prisons and lock up thousands under very severe conditions; great, super….
Meanwhile in the UK we have a prison problem so we just let convicted criminals out early. You couldn’t make it up….

These countries are still banana republics, but not so crime ridden anymore. Apparently they have been sending these monsters north and across our "secure" southern border for some time now. That fella with the tattoos looks familiar. I think we saw him in Denver yesterday bagging groceries at the Safeway.

Can we persuade the minister of justice and the president to spend a couple of years here to sort out our problems. This to include the MP's who abuse the system.😎

I would hate to be incarcerated in a prison as they are now... holiday camps some would have you believe, it would be Hell, Hell, Hell for me... Convert or Hurt is one of the new catchphrases, can you imagine having to kneel for Friday prayers in prison?

Probably not worse than being made to pray in assembly every day! All forms of religous indoctrination are wrong, the sooner the evils are snuffed out the better

I've just read an article in the Daily Fail about this prison in El Salvador.... they have gone from a land with one of the highest murder rates to one of the lowest. It seems that being HARD on crime works.
Nayib Bukele has offered Trump a deal to take Latin American gang members off his hands for a fee....Imagine being incarcerated in a prison where you have no visitors and no view of the natural world, and you get fed rice, beans, and a boiled egg with a glass of water to wash it down with...

Whilst this approach has clearly made a massive impact on the gangs and the problems they bring to the country, and I for one fully support, the downside is that the government has set police quotas for bringing in gang members, which the police are now struggling to fulfill as the gangs are now keeping a low profile, the result being that innocent individuals are being taken away and locked up without trial.

Yes, I did read this.
It is impossible to know the numbers affected by this. It could be a Liberal Lefty journalist with concerns about "Human Rights"

I watched a documentary about it just recently but cannot for the life of me remember who the presenter was. They spoke to countless relatives of innocent detainees that would wait every day to see if their relative was one of the ones released that day. Once inside they had absolutely no contact with the outside world and no access to legal representation, they would just have to wait for due process and hope for release.

Fortunately the gangs have made it unbelievably easy for the police to identify them as gang members by covering their torsos and heads with gang tattoos, although never their hands or faces. All the police have to do is stop someone on the street and lift their shirt up.

Certainly food for thought😏
Seems to me that if more of the population in this country were terrified of going to prison and there was a real prospect of being sent there at least there’d be an incentive to not to commit crime?
I've head it said that no-one who has transgressed on the Isle-of-Man and been birched, ever goes back there again.

This style prison and some executions should sort us right out and actually act as a deterrent. Cheap to build and run too.

The wife and I watched this the other night and we both agreed this is how prison should be, a deterrent for crime.
The eighty crimnals in one cell with one toilet and one sink, no bedding on steel beds that would soon have you thinking about your misguided past.
