I filled out the online questionnaire and it seems to think I’m Expert
which I wouldn’t class myself as!Definitely the Hunter side of things.

I asked them and they said both the hunter a progression will be fine for me but like I said more shooting (twice the Ammo required) on the progression which seems to me to be a good thing right?Great info. Thanks.

I have never done one of there courses before so I know nothing about there setup but I do shoot a fair bit and have a reasonable grasp of ballistics

So I’m hearing the hunter class is cancelled due to not enough registration? I booked progression and have not heard if it’s been cancelled but that may be a question of time? Anyone else heard anything?

We hoped to have it in June or July but the dates we have conflict with other, existing competitions elsewhere.
We’ve said we won’t do that as it’s counter-productive. As frustrating as it is.
The reality is that we came to the table late for dates, so we’ve been playing catch up. Will be completely different in 2026.
We have a new venue coming on line, in addition to Gardners, which we are sure you will all be very happy with!
We look forward to announcing that one as soon as we can! With dates at the same time.

Wise not to conflict with other events - I’m sure you will be oversubscribed when the next date is announced
Another venue in addition to Eskdalemuir would be great but there’s enough scope at area 4 (location of last event) to not repeat any of the stages and still keep people on their toes

Yep, confirmed, I received an email from MDS saying it will be moved to next year. Full cash refund offered (or credit note for another MDS event, which I may take them up on as I'll be in USA later this year)
I have replaced my Otterburn cancelled visit with something a little more on a tangent, Poland, full auto AR's, AK's semi's & 9 mm's of all makes.
Just hope it's fully booked up to go.

It’s a shame that is cancelled - would have loved to have attended but cannot justify spending that on myself in current financial climate (especially when the family deserve a proper holiday)

@NRL Hunter UK I am delighted to see you all at Orion's range which as you say is excellent. Do you think in case I miss future competitions can you email previous attendees when something comes up?
Our plan is to email all members with new matches as they are announced and also put a mailshot out to those who have signed up on the website.
Hopefully we’ll capture everyone then.
As we work down the list of jobs to do, we finally got round to pulling together the first of many podcasts!
