Bit of an odd one!

I'm staying in Monyash 1-3 July at a family gathering and, having only ever shot Scottish reds, I'm wondering if any kind soul on here fancies taking me out one evening/morning whilst up there to have a take look at some lowland reds in return for a beer (or two) afterwards (and maybe some grub) at a reputable hostelry? Observation and good conversation only as they are out of season.

If any is up for it, please drop me a DM. I'm, well the wrong side of 60 and doing more than recreational stalking, but ever day can still be a school day and, having only stalked in Cornwall, Sussex, Glos, Wilts, Somerset, Dorset, Hampshire, Arran and D&G, I'm keen to see other habitats/animals. Thanks for reading :thumb:

Plenty to see at Chatsworth just drive around the estate Reds and fallow in abundance.
Sorry I can’t offer anything.

A big shout out to @75 who was exceptionally generous with his time and hospitality early this morning, meeting up with me in the drizzle to show me parts of his stalking ground and most importantly, the magnificent red deer (and a few fallow) resident upon that ground. Great chat, banter and discussion! I hadn't realised that these too have come from a small group of local escapees and have now established themselves thoroughly on the high moor and not in the wooded valleys I would have expected, and especially relevant given I have a similar developing herd on my primary beat with reds down South. Every day remains a learning day!

Many, many useful learning points given our similar issues of no local AGHEs and the need to process and sell direct! Indeed, it was through @75 's and @VSS 's DMs that I too became VAT registered but I was blown away by 75's business model and entrepreneurial skills 👏 I thought I had Public Access issues but working as he does in the National Park landscape and this tourist hotspot, I'm staggered he is able to do what he does but not surprised given his commitment and resourcefulness. Bravo 🙌

Thanks again :tiphat:
