Off hand shooting weekend

Several years ago @mchughcb posted a fascinating video of medium calibre ''off hand'' shooting comp run in Australia

It reminded me strongly of the Dangerous Game training I did, run by the Field Guide Association of Southern Africa

Enthused by the video I set up a Dangerous Game course over here (for 9.3 x 62 and above) - some might remember it

Covid and difficulties in finding suitable locations (the original one was unavailable) have conspired to delay the running of a successor

However I've been running similar courses with .22LR here on my own (miniature) range in Cornwall

Over time, this has evolved into a bit of fun for people wanting to develop or practice their off hand shooting skills

It is a cross between

1. Static target off hand shooting @ distance of 25m to 120m
2. Jungle lanes style snap shooting
3. ''Stopping a charge'' against moving targets of buff, hippo and lion using a device know as the ''Charge Box' as seen in this vid below

Nothing particularly profound but it is usually a good laugh

Judging by the response to the two threads on ''off hand'' and ''close shooting'' I thought I'd run another fun ''off hand'' weekend

If you have any interest is attending in the new year, then kindly PM me and I'll forward details as and when a date, price and course of fire is established
