On average are American shooters worse shooters than British shooters?

I have just watched a video of a bunch of Americans trying to get 1 MOA grouping at 100 yards. They are using a lot of rifles some costing thousands Dollars and struggling to get 1 MOA 5 round grouping. I've not been at my local club very long but on range days at a 100 yard range almost all of then are getting sub 1 MOA 5 round groupings.

My sample size is small but it just seems insane to me that these pretty normal shooters at a UK club are out shooting Americans who have way more access to places they can practice.

Is it that because the barrier to entry is higher in the UK means people who bother to get FACs just put more time into making sure they are good shots. I know MOA is usually used as a way of measuring the rifle more than the shooter but the guys in this video are not very good.

A lot do handload there own rounds so maybe that is having a bigger effect.

Basically it just seems very strange to me that these Americans are struggling to do something I thought most shooters could do.

This is the video in question

There is a big difference in 1moa/paper and 1moa /deer (when your heart is sounding like Big Ben at 12)
Give them time it is their 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence.

Are you sure it’s not a click bait video? Though that kid did miss Trump at 150yds and he is considerably bigger than 1moa

Just to be clear, this is not Trump bashing or Yank bashing, just stating the accepted facts

Take ya moderators off then shoot 1moa @100
Most would fail 1moa
Just saying that’s all
My 300 win mag was still pretty accurate with the sound mod taken off , took it to South Africa without the sound mod- no issues- zeroed inch high at 100 yds.

Having run a few range days the skillset spectrum is wide….

Not a simple US vs UK question

If you consider what volume of animals most US hunters shoot in a lifetime. Very few
Compare that to UK hunters who may shoot dozens to hundreds/thousands.
Now consider the sheet volume of “hunters” in the US

Range time doesn’t always to equate to skill in the field.

Now have a look at the guys on the Pro PRL circuit in the US
They make the UK pros look amateur

Comes down to individuals

Most of my friends can shoot well but I think even them would struggle with sub MOA.

One thing I've found though Is they beat us In freehand shooting, Its just normal thing too do over there and people get out of there comfort zone quickly and become good at it, they also shoot with bows that reduces the need too shoot rifles often when there deer season Is maybe only 2 weeks with a rifle.

There dumb though had a "friend" shoot a mule deer with a compound bow at 70 yards whilst It was looking at alert him, the deer ducked mid arrow flight and he sliced Its neck open..... same guy also shot a mule deer at like 500y with a rifle and gut shot it. 🤷‍♀️I dont think a (at the time) 15 year old should of been allowed too shoot that far you dont think of the consequences at that age, Its just kill kill kill lmho
