I don't have dedicated target rifles so when I do use lead for practice, I then need to re-zero with copper at the end.

Doesn’t sound particularly like insurmountable, especially if you keep a record of the adjustments between each load.

It is not insurmountable. Just an extra point of friction on something that is already logistically painful.
