Just been playing with bins in a shop and on handling a pair of sworo's one of the eye pieces came loose in my hand! It was a pair of 10*20's but not what I expected from £500 of glass.

Do you mean the lens itself, or the eyepiece that you pull out to use the binos if you don't wear glasses?

If the former - very disappointing
If the latter - that's a feature, not a bug! They are designed that way.

I mean it came off. Have two pairs of Leica bins so familiar with push pull eye piece design.

On my EL's, the eyepieces are designed to be removed for cleaning any bits of dust, pine needles, etc...

Just twist in the normal way, then twist a bit more to unscrew.
