Out last night.

We are about on the same path this year, Ben. I'm one #1 fox and a few hundred rats.
I did the same as you last night, never spotted anything foxy, but knocked over a half dozen rats around a feeder.
Tbh my mate, I could/should have stayed on fox watch longer but the wind was cutting through me last night, so retreated to the cattle shed!!

That's because you are as wide as a weasel! You need some blubber!
Haha I've not heard that expression before! But you're right mate!! I had said 2026 I'd improve my eating habits, but failing so far! Pretty much one meal a day, teatime, but it's always a massive one, second helping etc. Apparently that's the worst way round to do things!!

I hate people that don't get fat!
I only have to look at it and BLOOP, 2 more lbs....

My Mrs said other day she was thinking of getting boob job to make them bigger. I said dont bother, just wipe some toilet paper between tits to make them bigger- it's worked on your arse cheeks!!
You old romantic, I bet that got her going nudge nudge wink wink....

As we have had a wee break in weather window, i.e it's no pishing it doon , out last night cracking night clear crisp no wind for a change, lot of roe up on the hills feeding , had a fox come in from the right about 120mt , lights out for it diidnt go out in the field to see what sex it was as the field is a quagmire with the cows churning up the ground in the wet conditions. also seen a pinemartin which was good to see.
went up next day turns out it was a dog

First dry night for ages and nipped to the golf course, had a text to say charlie had been digging and crapping in the bunkers.
First one sat nicely for the shot, second one gave me 2 chances as i did the old forget the safety trick! dog and a vixen.
Only saw the two but there will be be others causing trouble for sure.

You clearly need to develop the demented duck call. 😁

As this happened about 5 am & still full dark, I thought to put it here.
Went a little later than usual with the teckels, (usually do the two big un's first, & didn't go straight back out), got to the chapel on the outskirts of the village & heard some "chickering" very close by, thinking foxes in love I focused the head torch, straight on to two fat badgers, arguing over I assume worming rights, chickering turned into full on scrapping, one then decided to race away cross the field with number 2 in hot pursuit, all the while this was going on the two teckels were completely silent watching in disbelief!, I expected a hue & cry at full volume.:coat:

Got the Zulu fitted to the HMR and Zeroed sat...nice and easy and on target within 5 shots.

Headed out on rabbit and hare patrol Sat night. Started with 4 rabbits on the first patch and 6 on the second...then the snow came down and turned me into a snowman in 5 mins whilst I was collecting the rabbits..bloody white out so couldnt see sod all 😭 Snow stopped on the way back so quick stop and 1 rabbit and 4 hares ... 11 rabbits and 4 hares which is good considering the rabbits are hit and miss on a lot of my ground.

Sorry about the pic..taken in the chiller once I had sorted them all out..up to the butchers the next day
