That was me the other night but the camera said one of them was coming to the bait early morning.I was out from 0000 to 0300 - saw a fox within 10 minutes and rushed the shot, clean miss - spent the next 2 hours 50 minutes hoping for another shot - didn't happen. You win tonight Mr![]()

Indeed true SD - the thermal spotter has been a revelation; just watching foxes work the wet ground for snipe, woodcock or any other wading bird has pretty much stunned me. Silly old FB thought they would not be interested in such fare - from what I have now seen they really must take an incredible toll on small birds. That was me the other night but the camera said one of them was coming to the bait early morning.
So I got there 3:36am.
Watched them catching plover in the next field over then at 5 am the vixen came to the bait.
She was still in season, probably why the dog never shut up!

If any bunny huggers reading this please take note, there are any amount of mice and rats in these fields, I see them, you don't! These fox's were not interested in them one bit not last night, the other night or the other week but they definitely were running and jumping at the plover, lapwing plovers, so **** off and leave us to it because we get nature better than you!!
Now go buy another trinket badge or something to sooth yourselves with.
