Got set up on roof of motor overlooking a field covered in rushes and gorse and hidden gulleys. 1st fox came in behind me and escaped 2nd and 3rd not so lucky , a vixen and cub. Vixen had the skin on her belly sliced open , not off the bullet so can only presume she had ripped it coming through a fence as she's screamed in ?
3rd cub was very small sitting on a bracken covered bank. 150 yds off my sticks then I thought how will I find it . Luckily I headed in a straight line to it pacing my steps and couldn't believe I found it as the bracken was chest height
So another successful night with 3 in the bag.

I do work , eat and sleep , but not much of any.
I try to be out as much as possible while I still can as you never know what tomorrow may bring.
Just wondering where to go tonight ?
Dont blame you at all. Im very much the same but just trying to do some home chores so balancing early morning on the deer, crows and spraying sodding weeds...then having a brain that functions for the day job

Is that one of her best cups....Just in, not a thing did I see. Home and straight to kettle for a bedtime cuppa. Made the brew and reached for a slice of Lady FB’s lemon drizzle cake and knocked the full cup off the worktop! Bugger!

Thermal shock drove me off ground early, I have a little Raynaud's I think, gloves on but hands & fingers screaming out, felt like they had been struck with a hammer, saw one fox mungering around in amongst the ewes so no shot.
Seems tonight will go back down to single figures again due to the N. Easterly breeze, time to charge up the handwarmers again.
