Should of got off your a##e and took a picture
Or sent the butler 😉

33 and 34 last night.

Quick wander around the first farm but towards the end I could hear a vixen calling like mad on the next farm across. Set the caller up and we had a call off for 5 mins until she came steaming down the field, over the lane and into the field I was in. She dropped about 50 yards to a bib shot. This is why we use electronic callers

Onto the next farm and spotted one across the small valley. Dropped it about 130 yards but its a long walk to get it ...so I didnt bother for the sake of a photo and got the farmer to do it this morning instead :)👍. Nice to be back out after a couple of weeks off the foxes.

130 yard shot but 1/2 mile walk because of the gateways...so sod off 😛

I must be going a bit hazy in my dotage, I already need to remove gloves to shoot pistol well, So why was I insisting to myself I can shoot a rifle wearing gloves?

When you feck up a 38 yard shot you know you need to ditch the gloves.

I'm ok with fingerless with a rifle or at least the trigger finger cut.
I recently got some good air pistols.
The hw40 fits my hand perfectly but the Artemis grips are too big and it's easy for me to pull a shot to the left as the likelihood is of the trigger finger to act on the right side of the blade....

To close for me...I always seem to miss the close ones. I imagine shooting through the fence wont have helped :) When we did some fencing at home we went for 9" mesh on the basis it avoids the sheep pulling tags out but its much easier to shoot through 👍

No ...not out until the weekend now.

Beats sitting in the house .
Agreed. One of my mates youngest wanted to use a centerfire so set the gongs up last night and he had a few shots with the creed...fair play at 14 he was a tidy shot and enjoyed himself. Back out after fallow tonight ...but a specific buck who I have only seen once in velvet so doubt he will show...but I wont ever shoot him sat in the house 👍

Too right , make sure you dont shoot him more than 130 yds away or you're knackered 🤣
:lol:He would be well worth a 1/2 mile walk but only if I can get the truck within a sensible distance as he is a big old lad.

Next time I ll go take a pic of the poxy fox just to keep you fussy tools happy 😛
