Out last night.

We have a rescue centre a few miles away, a couple of pals have a field day at least once a year on the land they look after. Unfortunately, it's just too far away from my patch...
I can't get my head around the effort the do-gooders put in to keep vermin alive, then tip 'em out in the countryside.... :fox: 💥
Agreed and even if we didn’t dispatch them the survival rate I am sure is not good.

So windy tonight I could hardly stand up but neighbour said he had seen a big cub cross the road at the farm up the road so thought I would have a look. Another triple for the sainted one. Fair dog fox and two of this years vixens. Back home by 10:00. Numbers 19,20 & 21.IMG_2126.webpIMG_2127.webpIMG_2128.webp

I remove my thermal every time I finish shooting as it is on Innomounts QR because I use it for all 5 rifles.

Sling swivel was uncle mikes, I now have a set of grove tecs on there 🤞
My pic rail on my Sako s-20 came straight of my rifle , lucky I caught the sphur and scope !
It does happen , it was all torqued up to spec , I don't notice it a getting loose ! Nothing a drop of thread lock would sort ! But when your scopes over a grand it's **** stains in the pants time

Just in from a rat cull session. Lost count after 17. Poor Limulus sticks broke again so curtailed action. However last one was shot of the night. It was peaking out of a small hole in a corner of a stone barn. .177 Crossman premier straight through its head.
Huge very bright moon so walking around in what seemed daylight.
Sticks now glueing in a jig in garage.
Foxing on hold till we get a dark cloudy and windy night.
