Out last night.

Maybe it identified as a Vixen, after what I'm hearing about new Furries, Im going home. Bloody people identifying as animals, walking around with tails, they could be squirrels or foxes or whatever, they even put a cat litter tray down for them in a college. WTF
I would like to identify as a rich person...just need to money to go with me designation

As I’ve just got a new thermal scope ..after zeroing it on Saturday…Popped into my permission yesterday around 10.30 p.m and immediately stumbled on a Charlie..unfortunately Not a safe shot so let it go on.
1st one came within 30 mins of trying to get in position..a clean b/h shot.
Left him and popped back to where I’d seen the 1st Charlie..low and behold..there he was gingerly coming my way..but soon became aware of my presence and was trying to go back slowly..but his attention was drawn near some bushes and whilst he was distracted I let a .223 Vmax go his way.
Moving back to my ambush point and picking up the 1st fox I moved him slightly near the gateway and put on my caller.
Saw another come in but as he was very cautious and stayed behind the gate ..I thought wait for a bit and he’s going to come over..
He must have seen/smelled his comrade ..he was off like a Banshee that last 2 pics!
Waited a couple of hours and after packing my rotary roof mounted scanning thermal ..and in comes fox no 3 ..possibly the same one..I was ready and that was Charlie’s 3 downed as he was watching his downed comrade with some sort of ritualistic movements..I have seen this numerous times before!

Good job there mate. What's the new scope (unless I missed this part)?

The new Thermal is a Nocpix Rico2 H50R..it’s got a built in laser with ballistics call ideal for Rabbits with air rifle.
As I was on a roll…went to permission last night and bagged 2 more foxes.
They are still out there😃🦊

Nice bit of kit (buy once cry once price :)) and well done. I do find the thermal spotter with a thermal scope makes life so much simpler then going between thermal and NV ... but to be fair it should be given the price tag of "decent" thermal scopes.

Keep up the good work.

You are right about the ridiculous costs of these..since they’re made in the cccp. But like always we in Blighty are an easy touch(MUGS)
The warranty on this scope and other higher end ones here is 3 years std in the USA it’s 5 years .
Still I Don’t smoke at and only Drink rarely I think I deserve to get some luxuries 😀

Only need to justify it to yourself mate 👍 I look at the money I have spent on my hobby and its shocking..but I love it and can afford it so who cares :)👍

Just 1 yesterday..didn’t see many..but this one did get spooked and did try to evade .223 Vmax.
Here’s a better day time pic as I couldn’t find it the other day!

Another half grown vixen tonight

Got to my spot at 915 - connected with the camera to discover she had been at 830 !

Shot one here earlier in the week - its hard as its next to a pen and in woodland - so bait is only 30 odd yards away - needs a doe box putting up which is work in progress

Had i moved her off as i came up the track - maybe
Sit and wait
10 pm she shows but its still light and she moves off in to cover - 10 mins later shes back out slightly further away at 42 yards ! - sneak behind the gun and game over
