Pancreatitis

My seven year old cocker has just been diagnosed with pancreatits any recommendations on diet or treatment would be welcome.

Low fat seems to be the recommended route and there are variety of them out there

Speak to your vet about lypex capsules also.

Cockers can be prone to it, although I found it was more in the show/pet ones than the working ones. Can be very serious and acute all the way through to more of a chronic issue.

If this is the first time it's happened in a dog which is seven, in the back of my mind I'd be wondering 'what's changed?' as well as the usual 'what's caused it?'.

My guvnors miniature Schnauzers both suffer with it.
He has them on a diet food from Royal Canin,pricey but dogs are ok on it.
