Guys
Looking to get the newest version of the pard oo7 SP LRF

I’m running 007v and its working fine, looking to get a permanent one for the 22 hornet spare rifle
Apart from the bayonet being different and range finder and IR that i won't use are there any benefits to an upgrade (ie) better clarity, battery usage, easier controls etc

Anyone using the upgraded version and what you think of any benefits above the other, i use the 12mm 007v which I find good all round nv 👍

Cheers

Overlay, you wouldn't believe the difference, i had the 007 and changed to the 007SPLRF a few months ago, very, very pleased with it, the rangefinder is quick, and the 4k sensor really makes a sharp crisp image, but you need a low mag scope to get the best from it, because once you add it on it adds x3 magnification to the image.

Cheers Andy 👍

Just what i wanted to hear improved image quality

Ive just picked up a very decent low mag hawke scope that will be perfect for it

Cheers

Phil

Definitely echo Andydorset's opinion, I upgraded to the 007SPLRF when they came out, image quality is improved and the LRF is good.
I'd be surprised if you were disappointed

Not sure whether it applies to this particular model but isn't there a difference in base mag between the 12mm and 16mm lens versions? 12mm using a 1x base mag if I remember correctly??

I’ve got the 12mm v7 now - will check that out, to see what they do
From memory I think I got the 12mm for the wider FOW 👍

I think the only thing I'd add is that the IR is probably fine for air rifle ranges but pretty poor beyond that, I suspect the IR on my original was better

hi i purchased one of these when they first came out as i own two pard ds35rf and thought the quality would be something like and was very disappointed used it twice on a fac fx ir was poor sight picture was really poor but this could of been down to the mtc scope i had it on tbh i sold it and bought another ds35 70lrf i now own 3 ds35 and a pard ns4 lrf i personally would put the extra to the price and buy a ds35 70rf or even buy a good second hand ds for less

Yep
External IR i use all the time, only exception my V version with non spooky feral pigeons with the PCP I use the inbuilt one its handy piece of kit, just in casey

I think pard do listen to feed back as they swung the battery around to knock off a bit of length 👍

Thanks for a nice honest reply, i had thought about a pulsar or a pard, my friend has just got 2 c50 pulsars just last week, after trying a pulsar and a pard together.

I’ve used the v version on my 204 and furthest shot was 240 yds with a very perfect clear night it was pretty good but a bit curtains on another nights purely on weather particularly if it was post rain and it wasn't that good then but perfect at a100

Hoping I could get that extra bit for 22 hornet and 204 out of the new version and still keep a day scope

Cheers

The gen 1 ds i have is good for say 200 yards but i use a add on v1 solaris just for spotting or that extra bit and its good for not far off
4-500 yards for identification but when i use the gen 2 ds i seem to keep the onboard ir off to save battery and use the Solaris instead

I use mine on a FAC FX and it takes rabbits well over the 100yd mark, if anything the IR is to powerful for
an air rifle, I use a 5-30 Hawke Frontier it works very well, I prefer a scope to a DS or similar because I like the mag for distance crow/rook shots between branches at a 100 plus, I think the 007 is very good
Cheers

I haven’t used one in a while but I think they are a 22mm so base mag of the Pard is x4 making a 3-12x50 scope become 12-48x50 scope and therefore the FOV will be a fair bit less than you are used to on the 12mm V model. Which could be a factor depending on use.

Blimey
I only use up to 10 mag rarely on my day scope at the max, mostly 4-6 or much less 0n the hornet i have a 1-6 scope on it

I don’t think i’m having much luck to be honest, i thought i’d found the one , the new ATN 4K, only to find out from the supplier that they won't fit a blaser mount 🥹
C50 lights up like a xmas tree, and looks like the new 007 may have to much mag to be clear at shorter ranges 🥹

Only got the ward or vulpine 3 left
Keep looking phil 🤣
