Pard 008 Help Required

Had one of the new Pard 008 night vision scopes for a few weeks now and love it, fitted to a 17HMR for rabbit control and shot nearly 40 in 3 outings. However despite reading the user manual which is laughably bad, and watching review videos I could do with some help

i have fitted a micro card in to the unit, I have the menu on Auto Record, i have pressed the record button when shooting. When I came to want to review the video I tried using the lead supplied and plugged it in to my laptop it doesn’t recognise the Pard, tried taking the card out and putting it in to the larger converter and plugging that in to the laptop but there are no files on it

Questions
How do I get the recordings on to my laptop

How do I ensure it’s recording to the card not the hard drive in the unit

All help greatly appreciated

Firstly have you formatted the card when you first install it into the Pard.
It’s also easier to download the vids to your phone via the built In WiFi
All I do is when I get back to my van after shooting I turn the Pard WiFi on and connect to my phone and by the time I’m home everything is downloaded.
Just research the best app for your particular phone.

Guys, thanks for the replies. A couple of things

How do you format the micro card as in the recording menu I can’t find anything other than auto record on/off

Also there are two different connections in the side one of which they supply a lead for I take it that’s the one to try and download recordings

I have an iPhone 11 what’s the best app to connect to the Pard

I have spent an hour trying to find someone with video on YouTube showing how to do the above but with no luck

The main menu has 3 pages!
On the last page there is an item called FORMAT
When you open that item you'll get a choice to format either the internal memory or an SD card
Obviously, choose SD card
The lead supplied is a micro USB lead which can be used to transfer data to and from the scope
The other connector is a mini HDMI which is to connect an external screen.
As for apps to use - there are a few that work with Android, but none that I know that work with the IPhone
I'm sure someone will come along and tell you an app that works.
Give me an e mail address and I'll send you a proper manual

Cheers

Play with it in daylight. You can see what you are doing
turn autorecord off _ cuts down on the boring or useless videos.
press the second button from the front for a count of four when you want to record.
Top left hand corner should show a red dot and timer as video is recording.
Try taking out the micro SD card and use a card reader.

Thanks guys, I feel more informed now and Bruce Emailed me a better user manual. The unit is great but the support for it is poor, they need to look at the guys at Pulsar, great online tutorials

If everything on a pard was like a pulsar so would be the price 🤔
Be thankful for what you have

Visited this post as also struggling with card formatting, when I put the card in and select format all I get is a message 'All data will be deleted' with options Cancel or OK. I selected OK expecting to see a second selection choice for 'unit' or 'SD card', but it came up with a message 'please wait' for 5 seconds or so and that was it. When I tried to video I just got a format error message after about 10 seconds of video running. Any ideas?

Thank you for that - I'll look into it once I can get the card formatted as not getting the internal memory/card option.

Hmmm….that sounds like the card is not fully seated? It does sit quite low in the slot meaning you have to use a fingernail to push it further to get it to release.

Thank you both for your support. I checked the seating but all was OK, in fact mine is slightly raised still when fully seated making it easier to push right down first to insert/extract.
I have managed to get the card to work though I'm guessing the option to format the 'internal memory or card' option has been changed - I only saw the one format option which warned it would 'delete any content', once selected a 'please wait' message came up for only about 5 seconds and then it disappeared, back to main menu with no completed message or anything. Now I can record video to the card and transfer it to my computer to read/delete the MP4 video files.
However - before I formatted the card in the Pard I carried out a FULL format of the card on the computer, which took an hour or so to complete (NFTS format I chose). The previous time I only carried out a quick format on the computer and that's when it threw a memory issue after a few seconds of recording in the Pard - so in my case I'm guessing there was a card issue which required a FULL computer format to resolve and that the format process on the Pard has been simplified (but leaves you guessing!!)

Just a thought - the 007 has a real issue about the card slot - very easy to miss the proper card slot, but it looks like it is in - maybe something to watch for on the 008?
