Pard nv07??

ive gone the other route and bought pulsar c50 scope which was luckily found second hand on this forum at a good price so thats on my 22-250 for foxing, i am trialling an infiray td50l currently on my 22lr so am ditching the pard altogether....so if interested drop me a pm as i can let me pard go at a decent price with a couple of adapters...ive only shot it on 5/6 outings 👍

I considered a Pulsar C50 but two things put me off.
One was it's weight and the other was I am told that it is illegal to shoot deer with a day and night scope even during the day although I stand to be corrected on this.
The Pard 007 does the job for me.

"I will have to sell my nitesite on"

Best of luck with that - NiteSite went bust months ago.

Cheers

I did not know that. At one time they were the market leaders, just shows how quickly tech moves on and if a company doesn’t move with it, ahead of it, they go under.

Yep - a definite “No-no” in Krankieland except under licence. Previous SD threads show the legislation - Section 5 of the Deer (Firearms etc.) (Scotland) Order 1985 from memory which prohibits use of light-intensifying, heat sensitive or other special sighting devices - so even a thermal scope is “nae on”.
Don’t ask me how I err found out discovered learned this….

They were never really market leaders in the technological sense although their marketing and sales were good
They basically copied what DIY NV fans had already figured out and were building for themselves - and they a lost Copyright case because what they claimed as their copyrighted technology had been in existence in several forms built by many people well before they (incorrectly) got their copyright
They never moved forward as the technology and market changed and paid the ultimate price for that

If you’re going for a pard 007 look out on here for offers. They seem to be for sale second hand for around the £200 mark - any less and it enters the territory of being a really good deal.
Mine I have for the rimmies, and c50 for the foxing rifle. I only use it with the in built IR and thermal for spotting, works perfectly fine for my 120 yard (ish) max night shots.
