Pard Thermal Moncular

From the PARD website, it appears you can choose from:
a. 19mm or 25mm lens
b. A sensor with 12 micron or 17 micron pixels
c. A sensor with 384x288 pixels or 640x480 pixels
Out of those 8 possible combinations, and depending on price, I'd say the 12 micron 384x288 sensor and 25mm lens is the only one worth considering.
If SGC price these PARD monoculars along the same lines as they have with the PARD SA series thermal scopes, then they won't sell many.

Cheers

There must be some kind of mistake about price in the link above.
$9,999.00 ????
But $999.00 for basic configuration and perhaps $1499 for 12 micron 384x288 sensor and 25mm lens, would make it very competitive.

Their webshop is not fully operational - the actual prices are not available yet - ignore the $9999.99.

As for the thing itself then if it's a finished product without bells and whistles like the pard SA series then going by their example then it's likely to be stable and reliable.

If it's got wifi, recording, endless firmware updates, and all that jazz a la pard 008 then theres gonna be much better choices around

Price should be less than Pulsar XM30S. Otherwise I don't see a reason why would I choose PARD thermal monocular over XM30S.
Maybe PARD will challenge the world of thermal, the way they did the world of nightvision with 007, 008 and 019.

They have already dashed that hope buddy

The 019 was hardly a challenge unlike the other two

If a price appears on their website, it will be interesting to compare it with what SGC will charge when they get their hands on them
When the PARD SA series thermal scopes became available first and before SGC became the importer/distributor, the prices were much lower.
When SGC became the exclusive importer/distributor, the retail prices went up by at least £500 on every model

It was my first nightvision device so I might be a little bit biased. But I don't see any other digital spotter at the moment that I would choose over PARD 019, paired with Black Sun V20 VCSE.

I saved my money and went thermal spotter from the off but the 008 well you get great bang for your your buck with that punching way above the pay grade

008 as a dedicated NV scope was forbiden here at that time and is also more expensive than 019. And yes, of course thermal is better as a spotter than digital. But digital is better than no NV at all.
Sooner or later I will jump on thermal train, but as a recreational hunter, I really don't need it.
It is just that big child in me, who wants this new expensive toy. 😃
And it never ends once you start with shooting and hunting. 🙈
