Parker Hale scope mount torque

I've just bought a Parker Hale 300 win mag
Does anybody know the correct torque for the base mounts to the receiver?
Many thanks

You tighten up the first one until the screw shears off, then do up the rest a little less and hope that three will be enough.......🫣

By 'feel' and that is all you're ever see committed to print with a guarantee.

Given the chambering I'd be more focused on ensuring the correct use of Loctite compound (X2) on both the retaining screws and beneath each base.

I think you are far better to do the base screws around 22-24 inch pounds and epoxy the bases to the receiver to take up the shear force. If they are the 6-48 thread screws I believe 30 inch pounds is too tight and puts unnecessary strain on them.....I see so many rifles come in with screws that are sheared off from over-tigntening to do them up to that.

Sorry, just re read your post! Base screws, I was quoting action screws!

Yes, as above closer to 20, and often you’re actually better just using ‘feel’ than torque wrenches for the bases, esp in older actions where you just never know
