I've just been sent this and have signed:

Ban sky lanterns in England and Wales

I've signed a petition showing my support for a total ban of sky lanterns in England and Wales.

Help create a safer countryside for us all to enjoy. Add your name to our petition to get sky lanterns banned. These floating flames can cause wildfires, harm both farm and wild animals, destroy food crops and litter our beautiful countryside. They are particularly dangerous at times of warm weather and extreme heat. It is time for a total ban throughout England and Wales to remove this menace.​

Done, thanks for posting. These and helium filled balloons are a right PITA in the countryside. Removed a few of the latter from bushes on our little pheasant syndicate and picked up wire remains of the lanterns on a couple of other bits of land, all quite rural, remote even.
