Picatinny fitted backwards....

Hi All,

I have a cz452 with an 11 mm dovetail and have been using a Britannia1-0005 pic rail but now gone across to a one piece mount, but because of the ejection port cut out it doesn't fit.
Before I take the rail off, turn it around and fitting the one piece mount to the extended part of the rail and also wasting my time driving to the range will it work????

Thanks for any info

do you have a Britannia rail fitted and would like to fit a one piece mount to that ,or have you got a11mm one piece mount that you would like to fit on the 11mm dovetails,or does the one piece mount not fit the rail as the mounting point would be over the cut out

I take it this is the rail in question:

My worry would be that it would bring the eye relief of the scope into a very awkward place.
Would it not be easier to return it and get a better rail?

I made my own up so the height was correct and didn't foul the ejection port or the bolt throw, plus I made it long enough to get the correct eye releaf whether I had a normal scope mounted or a thermal.
Used a raiser mount plus a long piece of rail, tap and die set, file and hacksaw etc.20240810_154504.webp

Well swapped the rail around but due to the length of the rail I can't tighten the front grub screws as they slide past the dovetail.
Have now put the rail up for sale in the classifieds if anyone is interested.
