This 2wd Ranger had a small tipper body on with the owner finding it so heavy, the body sold very quickly freeing up funds for a flat bed project.
I did say one off stuff is more expensive as there are no drawings ( only chalk ones) with it turning out close to how he had scribbled on a beer mat.!!

50x50x5 angle 50x50x3 box 3mm over plain durbar are the main materials.

Frame made to pick up the chassis points then bolted down, headboard 40x40x3 to fit in 50x50 sockets welded to frame

Durbar cut on guillotine and trimmed to fit the corners

3 fixing points for the wheel arches. Also he has the end caps for the box

Yes Toby, the lad (34) is a nephew to a farrier I was Saturday boy to in 1976!! He had a moggy minor van and one 8
track he payed on the way to different jobs....So I got used to Simon & Garfunkel quickly lol

You can't tell these young lads, many years ago I used to weld blocks to axles on export trucks which bottomed out when loaded and stopped the roll on the ship heading to Africa!!

Done something similar on axles by welding sections along the bottom to stop them bending
