Pick up vs SUV - is this the future

Very definitely marmite.

But this thing is a full power station so you can plug in to a building and it powers the building or can recharge from the building.

Super efficient fast and comfortable for five large people on the highway, 6ft load bed etc. Yet very capable off road, and then you can plug in tools and a welder.

I expect you will need a beard and a manbun, and been born well after the launch of the original Land Rover Defender to appreciate this vehicle. You will have no clue how a petrol or diesel works, but absolutely understand modern electronics. So that probably discounts most of us.

But plug in an electric winch into the load bed to haul in the deer.

Now what is the accompanying rifle?

As a great man once said "Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good Blaser blaster at your side, kid."
I'd have one of these. The weapon that built an empire. (Closely based on the classic Sterling sub).

I'd like to see them take that Lithium battery through a few more rivers.......could prove to be spectacular. You get an instant camp fire though.

Making battery packs and motors that operate well underwater is simple and well understood technology. Remote Operate Vehicles operating at depths of the ocean have done so for decade so keeping the water out at wading depth is straightforward in terms of seals. Indeed with the cyber truck the pressurise the battery container with a line from the air suspension so that there is a positive internal pressure keeping out any water or other contaminants.

Keeping water out of engines, gearboxes etc where you have rotating components go in and out of the gear box, differential or axle is more of a challenge - something that any landrover owner will understand!
