Pocket cartridge holder - 3D printed

It was just a suggestion rather than a plea for a cheaper product. Clearly know your margins and how far you intend to take marketing & production.

Have you considered patenting your design?

Thanks @Klenchblaize , appreciate your input and ideas.

I agree that if I could get the prices cheaper then the sales would go up incrementally. Additive manufacturing is great for complex designs but the unit cost for 1 or 100 is pretty much the same.

Patenting takes too much time, effort and cost from my limited understanding.

I've got a few more ideas up my sleeve but need to find the time to work on the designs.

A friend said the curve is good for fit in pockets.....

Curve is also a good fit for the hand :) and yes not having an abrupt corner does suit the pocket. Good push & click for fit for these, Rory, none loose, no rattle, handy and all good. Took mine out yesterday but too wet for photos.

Apologies for lengthy delay, but I've finally placed the next order for those that are waiting for holders. It should be with me by 5th November.

I'll be placing another order in the next week or so if anyone has any requests.

17hmr holders still need some work to get the cost down as I'm currently looking at £35 manufacturing cost for the 40 round holder, and the thought of installing o-rings doesn't fill me with joy.

I've just done a 223 holder with belt loops for @caberslash that looks good, and doesn't actually add a lot of cost due to small size.

Well you could consider DIY with some instruction to those .17 HMR users, add a non liability clause if doing DIY fitting of the O-rings just so there is no come back on you as the product is superb. Sure might seem a bit pricey but I'd be in on at least 1 unit at that sort of cost as a 1517 spare mag is more, £62.94 @ RifleMags.

Thanks, quite happy to do that for a loyal customer. The o rings are positioned close to the top so shouldn't be a fiddle to install at all - will just take a while.

I'll send you some pics of progress next week. Not sure if I have your number or not?

Another happy customer, @takbok knows his onions!

I ordered a .223 with belt loops. Handy wee holster that does not protrude or change size, unlike leather.

Will take a range of cartridge lengths/different bullets but still present the case head at the same, correct height for easy extraction.

Tips all nicely protected, a home-run for this nifty wee product.

Can't wait to see what out resident mad scientist/tame machinist/rouge engineer comes up with next.

;)

Takbok, have you looked at the holders in the Gamo ammo boxes, I saw them first time when I shot an estate rifle (.243) doing my dsc1 couple of months ago they looked ok, just food for thought on improving 😉

What’s the price of these buddy ?
Here we go, mate:
