As per the title. I was out this morning with a good frost on the ground and my hands were feeling it while carrying sticks and thermal etc. Any info appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks for the replies so far. I was thinking more along the lines of reusable. Keeps Greta happy. I will take a look at the Peacock.

"Hotrox" electronic hand warmer, and powerbank.

I use one in each hand warmer pocket, and turn them on, as required. Two settings, low setting is more than hot enough (for me) and they last me all day.

the peacock handwarmers are ace. Just be careful not to damage the catalyst as its the expensive bit to replace, gently hold a match above it for a few seconds and then put the catalyst near your lips to feel if its alight. You cant really see if its alight so feel for heat. If you actually touch the catalyst with flames it damages it.
I used to use mine in a sleeping bag out in minus figures and it worked a treat overnight. Sometimes it would wake me up as it was too hot.

Heated jacket with fleece mitts. No need for hand warmers then. Trust me, anyone who knows me will tell you that I feel the cold. If it worked for me it will defo work for you.;)

plus 1 for peacock.... there are copies such as the zippo version but they are not as good.... been using mine for over 15 years

The Peacock are filled with FUEL. A fossil resource, not sustainable, negative Co2 footprint ... don't know if Greta would really be pleased .

I used to have those single-use hotties. They work very well. But I developed an issue with extremely dry skin on my fingertips using them. This went to the point that the skin on my thumbs would split which is extremely painful and annoying.

My dad has some things that he cracks and they chemically warm up. He then puts them in boiling water and re-sets them

Used to use Zippo but changed to Human Creation electric ones a few years back, you can turn them on and off, even charge your phone with them. They are about £30 on Amazon.

What @paul o' said. I've had zippo ones, charcoal ones and the chemical ones with the little metal disc in them.

The USB ones are warmer, less faff and (to date) last well.

This thing go's 60 50 40 also got the zippo petrol and old school charcoal ones but as you say they get hot quick and this has a charger and is a light bonus is you can keep a good charge keep warm and watch you tube in the high seat about deer stalking
