Look, the PM is asking everyone to stay home, what part of that is giving trouble.
The part where someone stated something they had been told and everyone jumps on taking the **** and giving them a hard time... Like my good self, i asked to be clear on what to do and get a legal standpoint on it, i got grief for saying it. I also got grief for saying if it came to it and i had no food and couldn't get any I'd shoot a deer after also saying the odds of running out of food is real slim. People just need to chill out, its none of us that's making this any worse because im sure the majority are trying to stay in, it's the families who don't give a **** thats causing problems and the people having party's and so on

As of 1pm today new laws are in effect through out the UK. Its Crystal clear. It is now against the law to leave your house unless your complying with the reasons given, If shooting animals isn’t your work, you can’t do it. Period.
Exactly which section of the Coronavirus Act 2020 did you have in mind as providing this crystal clarity ? Schedule 21 - Part 2 — "Powers relating to potentially infectious persons in England" perhaps ?

The way it was put to me was....

Imagine there’s a madman out there with a gun shooting at people.
So far he’s killed X number and wounded Y number.
You can’t see him, you can’t hear him.
The advise is to stay indoors until this madman is apprehended.

Would you venture out if that was the case? Not a lot of difference between the gunman and the virus, at least to my mind anyway!

With as much respect as i can offer, and had been stated multiple times now I've got my end sorted if i need it. Im sick to death of hearing it, I really am. People jumped on Richard for literally stating what he has been told, i also got told similar along with many other people on here. I will not sit back to be called stupid and so on by people who literally refuse to watch/read or listen to anyone else's point of view. Im perfectly rational and I see both sides with no drama. I completely understand how serious this situation is and the devastating affects it can have but people are literally getting a barrage of abuse for stating what they have been told by the relevant authorities. In being pro active incase I do get a phone call so I could establish if i would be acting legally. I also understand about if anything is to happen but the I could literally fall down the stairs and break a leg so that argument is invalid. I do wish people would seriously just sit back and read whats in front of them as a whole rather than picking out certain bits to argue about. End of, thats all I've got to say. I won't lose any sleep if i **** someone on here off. I've got relatives as we all have that if they catch it it wound mean the end for them. To go out blatantly i have a problem with like a bloody picnic in the park that seems to be quite common but something they has already been cleared with the people in the know, no problem at all. And again, IF IT NEEDS TO BE DONE.
Look I will just say these few words and then forget it. If you fell down the stairs and broke your leg, then you would be taken care of as a reasonable person who simply had an accident. Now if you fell down and broke your leg whilst in charge of a firearm, you would be " a total scumbag etc etc" in the eyes of most people and you would get the rest of us tared with the same brush. None of us will thank you or your like for making things worse with al the anti brigade and Police forces when it come to renewals. Police have already removed guns a certificates in N Yorkshire for going out after pigeons and it wont be long before they all join ranks.

that email totally contradicts the information I was given. lets hope all that go against government advice get a formal caution and all that goes with it ,some people are just stupid!

I farm sheep. It's probably the only business in my little gang that isn't currently failing as a result of CV. In my experience, fox control is a lot less necessary than people think (and recreational fox-shooters would have us believe) in the protection of lambs. If I lose a few lambs because of CV, that's fine. They probably would have made poor ewes anyway, as an agressive mothering instinct (desirable for seeing off foxes) is highly heritable.

Shooters are much less important than we like to think.

Kind regards,

Carl
