Stay at home

Stay at home.

Keep yourself and everyone else safe by

You guessed it...STAYING AT HOME.

I could blame the gov for not being more precise but I can't they made it clear enough "stay at home".

I also received the BDS guidance email, I phoned my local police and they said the same now it pains me as I have a few hinds and calf's to cull in a new plantation but it is what it is lads.

Please for the greater good of us all take the advice and pray to the good Lord that whatever this is it does not come knocking on our doors.

Shooting then will become what it is just a thing we enjoy as part of life but not the reason for our total existence.

There have been many posts about whether we can go stalking or not.
Please see under the "Out stalking during restrictions" thread, the question I put to Gloucestershire Constabulary yesterday and the response I received today, abbreviated as per the title of this thread. I have sent the original text to BASC and BDS.
At last some common sense has been shown and fishing, in my neck of the woods anyway where you can get miles of river to yourself, is the same. These rules are for gatherings of numpties obviously flouting the rules like gangs of young uns etc. So let's not get in a tiss no more. How hard it'd be to be in your teens just now, no nightclub, no cinema, no nothing. Mine are both under 14 so not so bad but imagine it's hard on parents of 16+ :(

Not sure anyone has mentioned this yet, but Michael Gove clarified the "exercise" exemption immediately after the announcement to confirm that visiting allotments is a valid exercise and is in fact encouraged and only social activities - golf was his example - are discouraged. Individual FEO guidance aside (always follow your FEO guidance, not someone on the internet quoting theirs) it would appear that shooting alone, near home with no significant travel would fall under a similar guidance as allotments, but I will wait for an official statement on this before risking my own FAC.

I am not saying everyone should be going out shooting during the lockdown but that in my opinion it will be within the spirit of the guidelines, and if they bother to clarify for the sake of the small number of us interested in shooting over land it would probably be in our favour.
Always follow your PM’s advice, we voted him in did we not?

Chaps....am I missing something here? BASC, CA, BDS et al All advise against recreational stalking....why the hell are we still arguing about it.....If some tosser wants to drive a 29 mile round trip to go out to shoot some deer, get tugged by plod, fined, and then have his FAC revoked....let the idiot carry on! If you’re luck enough to have your own land then it’s a bit different, but not much...unless it’s a matter of life and death then leave it be! I’ve got 300 ewes and lambs out behind me, and until Charlie takes a few I’ll let him be.
