I spend quite a bit of time in Portugal due to family, mainly in the Algarve, I just wondered if anyone had any experience with a Portuguese or even Andalusian driven hunt? I have no real experience of foreign hunting but it's something I'm keen to explore.

There are relatively few hunting opportunities in Portugal, far more in Spain.
Theres quite a few videos on Utube, look for ” monteria “.
The dogs seem to get as much meat as the estate...

I hope you find something.
I think a driven hunt would be a good experience and unique to certain areas.
I don't know of any driven hunts in Australia.

I spoke with Sérgio Couto who lives in Scotland but is from Portugal when I looking into it. He was very generous with his time and advice: sercoutwildharvest.com

I recently came back from a Andalusia
A landowner farming mainly olive groves I met has in the past two years been paying hunters to reduce the Boar activity on his quite large estate due to the dry summers they have installed underground water feeders to balance the ground moisture and the boar are ripping the small planted olive trees out the ground and also the water pipes causing a large expensive amount of damage, the damage he showed me around the estate and via videos and stealth cameras was pretty bad and some big numbers seen

He has my card, just in casey 🙏. I live and hope 🤣
