The white bird in my last lot of pictures was actually a Dunnock, fledged from a nest in the Box hedge at the side of the house a few years ago.

It ended up along in the village and a local Wag had an article and pictures of it in the Ross-Shire Journal.

Yep. Kept it covered in my hands til it stopped shaking then set it out in the sunshine to recover. About 20 mins later a flock of goldies came in and it flew up and joined them. Soft ol buggers we shooting chaps!

The polytunnel has been inundated with bees yesterday and today...my midge net has been used in anger at last!

We have been told that they are likely to be Ivy Bees, they are not in a hanging swarm / bunch like Honeybees but they are swarming apparently...
