This patch of rough ground is on one of my regular dog walk routes. I usually have a pair of binoculars as well as my camera, there is a small group of roe resident and visible regularly, although as on this occasion they can take a bit of finding.

Funnily enough, I've had fishing trips on both the Bladnoch and the Doon interrupted by Roe deer wandering through the water in front of me.....And Reds doing the same on one of the Highland rivers.....they obviously knew I wasn't a threat holding a fishing rod!
