Posting non-ticket moderators

Air rifle moderators which could go on a Section 1 firearm, but won’t go on a Sectiom 1 firearm, ie they will go on a non-FAC air rifle:

Can they be posted?

Want to buy one, but RFD wants me to come in and pick it up in person, with ID, even though it’s off-ticket. Wondering if it’s legal for an RFD to post and if I should try to find an alternative dealer who will post a moderator, to save me a drive out?

I believe that under the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006, they have to be face to face, same as non-FAC air rifles etc. However, that doesn't seem to trouble the various online market places selling zombie knives and hippy crack to youngsters without any checks whatsoever.

Pretty sure sub 12 air rifles don’t have to be face to face, nor off ticket moderators, but you have to be an RFD if you manufacture that latter for sale to others.

From a business (RFD) it can not be posted to you direct and must go to another RFD or face to face, if its s private sale, the seller can post direct to you. Now, don't you feel safe
