Possibilty of two places available in a new to be formed syndicate on forrestry and clear fell ground in the SW of Scotland. Two parcels of land close together with good cull figures.

Bid will be placed end of this month and interested parties should intially send a PM with contact land line numbers ( as i am currently in Norway it keeps the phone bill down a bit).

Level 1 is mandatory and insurance through a recognised body.

Costs will be shared on an equal basis and will be in the region of 500 pounds plus vat per rifle. Also be prepared to share in obtaining caravan and associated equipment.

We are hoping this could become a good friendly and productive shoot.

First of all i would thank all who contacted me with the information as asked for. I did not respond to some messages as they took no notice at all of my original starter post.

The response was such that i could only contact so many or i would have blown my stalking budget on the phone.

There were shed loads of well qualified and experienced people who sent compliant messages, i felt quite annoyed at times i didnt have umpteen thousands of acres so we could have a right big set up. And having to balance the set up was my remit from existing members so choices had to be made.

i assume ( sorry if incorrect) you must be one of the other parties he referred to in his mail to me, i was only curious why he advertised and then said it was out-with him for the final decision. .... my take on his mail ....

i placed the correct request as formatted in his requirements and didn't even get a thanks no thanks etc. i don't give my home number to everyone and was a bit cheesed i did and got mothballed.
agreed you cant nor will ever please all mate, to few places and too many men for them. a sorry over subscribed would have been a better post rather than the one that was posted

In post 9 of this thread Redneck has thanked everyone who contacted him.

This is ABSOLUTELY NOT AIMED AT YOU but I have noticed a few comments on the threads in this sub forum where people are offering stalking and shooting opportunities where the posters are being a bit harsh. There is nowhere near enough shooting and stalking opportunities for all those who want to do it in the UK and so we need every ad we can get on this forum in my opinion (Excluding those with proven por customer services or worse) so I think everyone needs to accept that not everyone will get what they want.

It's likely that at some point in the future I'll be looking for syndicate rifles (Nothing in the pipeline at this point so no PM's chaps please) and would choose to offer them on here. But only if I knew I wasn't going to get grief etc. Unfortunately I know I'll end up dissapointing some if I ever do.

MJ75 I cant agree with your statement. There is plenty of stalking opertunitys for all and there are not enough deerstalkers that has been said by DCS/SNH and i need to agree. The problem is the majority of ground is held by the money making minority. But things will change in this current climate.

Choc, I think the fact that we live in different countries will contribute to our differences of opinion. There is not enough stalking in england, hence the english having to invade you guys north of the border. I appreciate there may be more opportunities in Scotland, particularly the further north you go, but I know plenty of people down here who seem to struggle to find sensibly priced, quality stalking.

I wonder if you've ever been "gazumped" when bidding on a lease? I suspect not.

as i say my own situation was one of a simple mail to say thanks but no thanks would have probably put an end to it

as previously stated the issue is with guys whom buy lets at £1000 and sell 5/10 spaces on it at £750 to £1000 a space.
fortunately i have found a decent lease holder and he treats me fair, i care not what others think but he is a minority....
i thank him every time we chat and will continue to do so. shame he is so far away.

he like i can sleep at night with a clean conscience shame on those that take advantage of the big divide...
maybe if we all collaborated together and drive the prices down rather than slit each others throats it would be better

No they won't, my pheasant shoot has a massive waiting list.
I pick up on Lord Spencers and they are booked up for £60k a day pheasant shoots.

I'd always be happy to look at joining additional syndicates with decent, genuine people. Time and location permitting. The problem is too many people take advantage as you know. I don't blame the OP for not telling every stranger (And to be fair, stranger is the right word) where the ground is until any lease is secured on it! After that, then it's a different story.

There is more than one example detailed on this forum where people have gone behind others backs to try and get land. Anyone offering syndicates to people they don't trust should be mindful of that.
