Going to buy a new scales soon as my rcbs 5 0 5 beam scale has seen better days thinking of 1 of these, would like any thoughts or suggestions on what to get thanks in advance
RCBS RangeMaster 2000 Electronic Scale

How can your 505 have seen "better days"???? I have the Ohaus 505, the RCBS predecessor, that still works perfectly. I mean, I haven't used it as a door stop or anything, but it has had 40 years of use. I'm guessing you think the
RCBS RangeMaster 2000 Electronic Scale
will be a shiny new upgrade.
Electronic scales are problematic. I'd take an over the hill 505 any day. In fact, why don't you get a hold of Spud1967 and get one of his TargetMaster auto tricklers?? That would be a better upgrade....~Muir

(Awesome, actually)

It doesn't seem to be consistent, like it used to be I've cleaned everything but seems to be of for some reason

No I won't get rid of it as there is not a lot to go wrong with them, just can't seem to sort it at the mo. And want a back up. That auto trickler looks good will do some homework on that

How are you measuring "consistency"? Usually the scale measures the consistency of some other appliance.~Muir

Look up the TargetMaster. I use an OHAUS Dial-O-Grain and the Target Master won't work. I really wanted one....

Well done my homework on the TargetMaster auto trickler, and decided to buy 1,as 1066 is going to sort my scale out, looks a really good bit of kit once set up correctly

Sent my scales to forum member 1066(allan) to have a look at it for me and he did a fantastic job, repairing if, it now registers 1 kernel on Vit n140, also bought a TargetMaster of him and what a great bit of kit, now I can seat a bullet while it trickles up, just thought I would put it on the forum, as I think he deserves a mention, my way of showing my appreciation

I agree, a great machine to help producing consistent ammunition.

I’ll keep on promoting the TargetMaster not just because it’s a first class, but also in the hope that @1066 might, just might, be persuaded do a limited run if his superb annealing machine! (And hoping I’m on any waiting list he might have!)
