Was chatting at local shop, about lead free bullets for reloading. They mentioned that PPU are starting to do a lead free range.
Some loaded ammunition and probably soon, loose projectiles.
The has some 308 rounds in stock, so I thought I'd have a box. (A bit of an extravagance for me, as I don't recall buying any loaded rifle rounds in 30-odd years.)
Not tried them yet. Wondered if anyone has any experience?
The dealer was saying how they are a jacketed bullet but with a soft lead free core. Weight and balistically pretty much identical to a leaded equivilant. So theoretically easier to transition to, making load development a bit quicker, when they start selling projectiles only.
