Practice DSC 1 Shoot.

As some of you may know I FAILED my DSC1shooting test with a two foot group. I could not believe it and was truly gutted. I posted my embarrassing results on here 🫣🫣.
To be honest my confidence was lower than a snakes belly at this point as I have NEVER failed a qualification shoot before!
I was appreciative of the kind words and condolences but I was still gutted.

Then out of the blue I was contacted by Jason from @Cotswold Sporting who offered me one to one coaching and practice shooting free of charge which we had today. I have got to say it was absolutely brilliant and it was such a pleasure to meet Jason.

Jason had traveled up from the Cotswolds to meet me in Shropshire so it would be more convenient for me.

I felt very at easy with him and he clearly knows a tremendous amount about shooting and deer stalking. Jason was very professional and he took his time to explain various points to improve my shooting and it is with great joy I can report back and say they were all in the kill zone maybe not the tightest group I have ever had but that was down to me, but I am not physically the same person I used to be having had several accidents which needed spinal surgery and my neck fused.
I have never shot from sticks before and Jason gave me a Master Class in how to use them. He showed me how to get the right height, how to deploy them silently securely and most importantly with stability. I now feel very confident to accurately shoot from sticks.

I can certainly recommend Jasons expertise to anyone who feels the need for extra tuition or like myself somebody who is new to deer Stalking.

I had a great day and I feel so much more confident.

So thank you to all the members of the Stalking Directory who sponsored me on my DSC1 and thanks again Jason from @Cotswold Sporting for your kindness time and tuition 👍

Thank you, Rookandrabbit.

Well done rook and rabbit for sticking at it, great to hear you got over the lump, I still find it a little unnerving shooting in queues myself, gradually taught my self to be calm but every now and then pull one, just to keep one sharp🙄 like you do. 😵‍💫

Hats off to Cotswold sporting - for the great help and enthusiasm top job and nice to hear praise for a job well done Sir

This why SD is a great site helping other members to get better.

It was a genuine pleasure to help Steve. Personally I get allot of joy helping guys out. Make sure you book in with Mike and let us know how you get on.

So many knowledgeable guys fall apart on the shooting range you are not the first or will be the last! they just cant deal with others watching them ! even guys in green or black who can shoot can't take being watched but that go's with coaching as you have found out.
Well done glad you got it sorted in the end.
