Up for Sale is my 30-06 SPR.

I am the second owner of this rifle, built by Neil Mckillop. Round count was 100 from original owner and around 240 from myself.
Total of 340 rounds.

This rifle build is as follows:
-Sako85 M, stainless action and factory trigger/magazine assembly. (Trigger around 3lb).
-Pac Nor 26” barrel. 1-in-10” twist.
Barrel chamber cut with a Match Reamer in 30-06 Springfield.
-M14x1” thread. ASE SL5 compact moderator & custom Mckillop muzzle break included.
-Custom picatinny rail included; 0 MOA. (Factory optiloks still fit also).
-McMillan Hunter stock. Green, black, tan.
Fully glass bedded and aluminium pillars installed. Very tight and precise fit up.
Custom Sako badge inletted into grip.
- Rifle, moderator & custom rail weigh in at a very manageable 4.15kg (9.1lbs) for a 26” barrelled gun.
-All metalwork cerakoted in matching dark green.

This rifle is capable of 300 Win Mag realm velocities with the tube length. I’ve chrono’d 178gr Hornady Eld-x (factory “precision hunter” ammo) either side of 2900fps.
Home-loading would push this further no doubt.

#DISCLAIMER:
The tighter Match chamber causes a tight bolt drop on some factory ammunition as the body/shoulder area makes light contact. All fire without issue.

I’ve tried:
-120ct. Sellier & Bellot 180gr soft points. No issues. .5”-.75” groups.
Feed smoothly and cycle as expected from a sako.

-20ct. Federal 150gr soft points. Stiff bolt drop. .75” groups

-40ct. 180gn Sako rounds. Soft points. Chamber smoothly. Shot .75” groups readily.

-60ct Hornady Precision Hunters. 178gr Eld-x.
Tight bolt drop. .75” groups.

This rifle, due to the custom chamber, would best suit a reloader, who can control all variables and get the very best out of the long barrel and precision chamber.
Equally, it would be a perfect and fairly straightforward re-build with quality components. This barrel could be shortened/re-chambered readily by a competent smith and would be a big saving over the original build cost.

I’m asking for £800 ONO for this package of rifle, rail, moderator & muzzle break. (Bipod not included).
I also have some 30mm warne rings that can be included in this package.

For any info, more pics or offers message here or call on 07957888767 between 8am-8pm.

Many thanks.

Classic calibre in a modern format.
FYI and any potential buyer the short throat can easily be resolved by a gun smith though better to send to Neil. A throat reamer will cut the lands to any length and is straight forward job.
