I managed to source and purchase a few old stock, forged in Sheffield, carving forks.
This is the first one I have tidied up and finished off.
The knife has a 240mm (9 1/2") blade of 2.2mm SF100 Sheffield-made steel, ground thin so the blade has a nice flexibility through the length.
The tines of the fork around 150mm (6").
They both get book matched African Blackwood scales, cut from the same block.
Stainless steel Corby bolt fixings.
Unless you are going antique this might be the only fully Sheffield made carving set on the market today
Totally struggling with how to price it, the knife alone should be £350ish, as a result the set should probably be valued at around double that, but...
I am going to start at£495 £445, all in, delivered.
