Pricing

No real point to this just to vent - but some people's pricing on used goods on here is absolutely ridiculous!! So far off, then bombarded with "ttt" and wondering why it won't sell. Halfwits.

Ok...I'll do you a deal on my CZ 457

They’ll likely have placed this add when there was some sort of sellers incentive for placing listings and they’re using it as a placeholder until they have something to sell. A very common tactic on eBay if you use it regularly. You’ll also see sellers marking listings on eBay as SOLD, so they can place hold whatever incentive they’ve been able to secure.

It's a sign of the times now.Gear, reloading consumables bought after 2022 are at all time highs, look at primers 😱😱.
Let's not forget most hardworking folk are feeling the pinch now.
We're getting our pockets picked at every turn....least Dick Turpin wore a mask.

a prime example is the seller offering multi times fired sako cases cleaned, shinny etc etc £75 per 100 USED CASES! wow JUST WOW!

With all due respect, please remember trade members need to make profit to earn a living. I will be the first trade member to comment here and I'm certainly not wanting to create hate towards the trade members.
Kind Regards Pete

Ffs your mob are about to win the title as well

😂😂

You are right though

Everyone wants top dollar for some bargain bucket items
I'm probably up at Grace's this weekend actually mate if you fancy a wee venom!! My cousin's booked a booth - posh as feck!! 🤣

its certainly a strange one, its sometimes hard to work out what second hand goods are worth, i know if im selling some thing i want as much as i can get for it, but when buying i want to give as little as possible, as they say, you can always come down, but you cant go up, if i see some thing well over priced i just think to myself, where do you start as my offer in there eyes would be an insult,

and all this bumping boils my ****, same crap every night, some times only been on a day or 2, then there's all the traders who bump there crap up every other night, or add some stupid comment to get it to the top, i know they pay a fee but, bore off, if your shotgun hasn't sold in 3 months then its over priced or in front of the wrong audience

Good point, sometimes it has nothing to do with price, it's just bad timing. I've posted an ad', forgot about it, and had someone contact me and buy it many months later.

Owners commonly over estimate the value of parts, but lately, I'm seeing a lot of stuff being advertised above "internet retail", and it just looks plain daft. You'd think people would Google to find realistic pricing, but some don't.

I try to advertise anything I offer at a "fair" price, mostly personal shooting gear I'm upgrading, or just wanting a change. It's no good putting something up so high, no one will buy it, but at the same time, no one wants to just give stuff away ! It sells quickly, mostly, and I get to play with something new 😁
