Priming Tools

My favourite priming method was using my Dillon RL550B press, just so easy compared to the other methods I've used.

Other methods that I've used are on the Lyman Spar T press, and using both the old type (round pan) and the newer square pan Lee autoprime, plus the RCBS hand priming tool. The old type Lee is much easier to use than the newer type autoprime, and the RCBS is just a much better made tool but I find all of them a bit of a pain to use compared to using the Dillon.
I see that Hornady have just introduced a new bench priming tool. It looks like it is a robust bit of kit and I would love to try one out but I don't think they are available over here yet.

I don’t use vast quantities of ammo but do enjoy the older style priming on a Redding T7 turret press. It would be slow if you were churning out numbers but it feels controlled and smooth for my needs.

Using a orginal Lee Autoprime for over 40 years, it was a huge improvement on the wandmet press option.
Other than the covers going yellow with age no issues, I did get a second one so I keep 1x for small and 1x for large primers.

Frankford Arsenal micro adjustable hand primer - gives you extremely accurate repeatable results and solidly built!

Lee hand priming tool for me. Sometimes I get the odd primer upside down but thats the only issue i have with it.

Have Lee on press, Lee hand primer and Lee Bench primer, but sometimes still have to revert to the Lee loader and a hammer

Mark
