Pulsar Axion 2 xg 35 i

I had a chance to test Axion XQ35 old non-pro version vs Axion XG35 side by side. And I believe that diference in price is not worth to pay for XG35. In bad thermal conditions XQ35 was even better than XG35.
So if you want to save some money, XQ35 will do everything than XG35.
Hikmicro falcon range is also very good.
Here is a comparison test that I made last winter.

Yes the XG35 is a great unit. Have used a few, with both LRF and non.
640 resolution, so you get a better picture than anything 384 based, period. Heat shows well, as does shape and details. Well worth the money if you don't want a vhs video image.
I've faced no issues in many weather types. I also use an XG50 LRF scope and that too has been fantastic and better than any other Pulsar I've used.

If you don't need an LRF, then I think the image on the HIK FQ35 is noticeably better,
The HIK is £240 cheaper and uses cheap off the shelf 18650 batteries rather than the expensive Pulsar proprietary batteries

Just a shame hik don’t do a spotter with lrf

They do, and have done for a couple of years - it's called the Gryphon - and you can get it in 2 sensor sizes (384 and 640) and 3 lens sizes(25/35/50mm) with prices varying from £1500-£2600
I have one, the GQ50L and as a thermal it's OK, but a bit bulky and awkward to hold
The LRF works fine and it runs from a single 18650 battery
For some unknown reason HIK also incorporated a black and white visible camera and the ability to "fuse" the visible and thermal images.
TBH, that part is utter rubbish

The axion xq35 is a very good hunting thermal, now when I say hunting thermal I mean just that it's not the best image not the smoothest image but.

It's very effective in all weather conditions it will see and Id animals further than you can shoot, it's battery life is the best I've seen by a huge margin you won't need a spare battery.

If it has a con it's only one but not a deal breaker it's display Resolution is less than some so is smaller but you'll get over it.

All in I'd say it's a great unit build, battery backed by pulsar warranty if you buy new, but even if not new these things in most all circumstances last forever.
