Pulsar axion 2 xq35 lrf v Pulsar axion 2 xg lrf

Hi Lads.
Had my Pulsar helion xq38f six years now its been very good but looking to the next 5 years of shooting i want a thermal with lrf.
I don't want a bino's, don't think i want owt other than the above ?

Has anyone used the xq35 lrf and the xq35 lrf, i know the latter is better but reading as many reviews as possible it seems that the xg 35 lrf isn't worth the extra £800 over the xq 35 lrf ?
What i would want out of this type of thermal lrf is the ability to "id rabbits up to 120 yds, and foxes up to 150 yds," will the xq 35 lrf do this ?, i understand heat sources can be picked up at distance and sort of id by the way it moves.
I do have enough money to buy the xg 35 lrf, but dont want to spend that extra £800 if the xq 35 lrf will be good enough to do the above.

Both will do what you want them for but the easiest way to put it is that the XG gives a much less pixalated image. It's just cleaner and smoother. Going further than 150 yards, the XG will make ID easier with that cleaner image too. It may help you establish a cat from a badger from a fox at beyond that range and give you the heads up so that you can decide to get closer or move on i.e. stop you wasting time. Whether you want to spend the extra £800 for that is upto you.

I brought the XG 35lrf on black Friday from Blackwood Outdoors,(a good deal from Ian ) I'm a tight bugger with money, but certainly don't regret buying mine. The image is brilliant. But the cheaper XQ will do everything at the ranges you are talking about.
I would splash the cash and get the XG.

The picture quality is markedly different - and you will get a much better picture under zoom from the XG. My view would be to but the best you can, especially with the pace at which tech continues to move on

As some members already suggested, XG35 is a bit better.
But keep in mind that XQ35 performed better in fog or mist.

So, if you are often hunting in bad thermal conditions and would like to save some money, just go for XQ35.

As said above the xg has a better resolution to its image, my eye found the xq to have an inferior image to my older axion xm30s! Hence putting a bit more in and going for the xg over the xq
