As a heads up on this if anyones interested in these models, I would wait until dealers actually having them in stock before dropping deposits or pre-ordering as you could be in for a long wait depending on quantities shipped to the UK, also date and numbers ordered by individual dealers.. basically others could receive them before people who have paid deposits. Shouldn't be long now before they arrive within a month at most.

Is that both Ian or just the Axion

excuse the daft laddie question but, optically, how does the Key XM30 stack up against the Quantun Lite XQ30
Hi slider I would imagine the picture will be more detailed on the xm30 plus with a 400y longer detection the qx30 been 900 and the xm30 been 1300y the imagine with the qx30 at 225y say would be the same at 325 with the xm30 that my thinking could be wrong I am sure Ian will clarify :)

The Key XM30 will be better than the Quantum Lite due to the 12 micron sensor but the XM30 key will have a narrower field of view.

The cheaper "XM30 KEY" will have 2.5x magnification , LCOS 960 resolution display and 1200m detection range.

The "XM30" will have 4x magnification, HD AMOLED 1024 resolution display and 1200m detection range (inc WIFI and Recording)

Both the above models have the exact same field of view even though they have different magnifications. The better image quality and magnification comes from the HD AMOLED display fitted in the XM30 model. The lower resolution "XM30 Key" model has a visible border around the LCOS eye display compared to the "XM30" model with larger HD AMOLED eye display.

These are due to arrive any week now, I'd estimate around 2 weeks if not before..

I have a lot of all models on order for anyone interested.

It might not be too long - I just noticed that ULIS (the company who make the thermal cores for Pulsar) have now listed a 12 micron 640x480 core on their website.

Cheers

Bruce

Agreed. They might appear at the Shot Show next January and next year at IWA
If history is anything to go by, Pulsar will try to suck as much use out of the existing range of products before putting any newer, better products on the market. That's the problem when they don't have any real competition in the UK and European market.
ATNs reputation is terrible, FLIR have a mixture of 9 Hz and proper refresh rate models and Guide are just stupidly expensive for what you get

Cheers

Bruce
